'Making of' documentary

Commentary (Director, Composer, Production Manager)
A double bill of classic nature documentaries from the celebrated director Ron Fricke. 'Baraka' was filmed in 70mm in 24 countries over 13 months, and explores man's relationship with nature. Covering the ancient and the modern, the technological and the natural, the film uses music and images to chart the cycle of life and modern man's destructive relation to the planet. Whilst 'Chronos', originally produced for IMAX theatrical-release, is a sweeping non-verbal, non-fiction compilation of time-lapse photography set to symphonic accompaniment in seven movements. This visual experience features famed world landmarks, both manmade and natural. Fricke was also cinematographer on Koyaanisquatsi (1982).
