Pair of farcical French comedy/mystery classics by Yves Robert: In 'The Tall Blond Man With One Black Shoe' (1972) secret agency chief Toulouse knows that his assistant is after his job. To thwart his deputy's ambitions he sets a trap by arranging for him to investigate a 'nobody' he has picked out at Orly Airport. In fact this decoy is a harmless violinist completely innocent of any crimes. But even his ordinary life under the constant scrutiny of surveillance appears to be weird and suspicious.
