Action movie in which terrorists, based on an oilrig off California, plan to detonate an electromagnetic bomb over the US. Michael Kittredge (Vinnie Jones) poses as an enviro-warrior in order to take control of an oilrig, from where he plans to detonate a huge bomb over the US. Kittredge, self-styled leader among all enemies of the nation, has reckoned without tenacious tug captain Lamont Dixon (Eddie Griffin) who, doggedly, survives the attack on his boat. Dixon is instructed by the FBI to foil Kittredges' scheme and generally wreak all possible havoc onboard the rig. Infiltrating the group, he finds a sympathetic ear in computer whiz Jamal (Breckin Meyer) who, despite their personalities resembling chalk and cheese, agrees to help Dixon.
