Emmanuelle Béart stars in this enigmatic wartime drama. In June 1940, the German army advances on Paris. Odile (Béart), a widowed teacher, flees with her children and joins the exodus from the city. When their refugee column is attacked by German aircraft, a young man called Yvan (Gaspard Ulliel)appears to lead her from safety, to an abandoned house in the woods. Isolated and cut off, Odile is unsure whether she can trust this strange, feral youth, and the longer they stay in the house, the more intense their relationship becomes.
