Two popular romantic comedies starring Meg Ryan. In 'You've Got Mail' (1998), Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) and Kathleen Kelly (Ryan) are rivals in business: he working for Fox & Sons, a chain of discount bookstores; she owning a tiny bookshop of her own. However, unaware of their true identities, Kathleen and Joe have begun communicating anonymously via an e-mail chat room, building a strong and caring relationship without ever revealing their names. Eventually, the curious couple arrange to meet, but will their cyber-love survive in the real world? In 'Addicted to Love' (1997), when his childhood sweetheart leaves him for another man, astronomer Sam (Matthew Broderick) rents the flat opposite her apartment, in order to spy on her. The man his lost love Linda (Kelly Preston) has taken up with is Aton (Tcheky Karyo), who has in turn dumped his own fiancée - photographer Maggie (Ryan), who now wants revenge. Maggie teams up with Sam to launch a campaign of terror against Aton and Linda, with hilarious consequences.
