The scandal that brought down President Nixon gets the Hollywood treatment in this all-star political thriller. Washington Post reporters Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) and Bob Woodward (Robert Redford), aided by the White House mole 'Deep Throat', thwart Nixon's attempted cover up after his agents are caught breaking in to the Watergate complex. Jason Robards won an Oscar for his portrayal of the Post's editor, whilst William Goldman picked up the coveted statuette for his screenplay.
