Box set containing all four movies from National Lampoon's ''Vacation' series. In 'National Lampoon's Vacation' (1983), West Coast's Walley World theme park is the holiday destination for the Griswold family, who intend to drive cross-country from their Chicago base. Father Clark (Chevy Chase) has planned the trip down to its last detail, but the trouble begins as soon as they hit the road. Unexpectedly forced to share car space with grumpy aunt Edna (Imogene Coca), and missing out on their chance to see the world's largest ball of twine, their woe is complete when they arrive at Walley World - to find that it has closed down. 'National Lampoon's European Vacation' (1985) has the Griswalds winning a trip to Europe, but contrary to their expectations, it is not a luxurious, all-expenses-paid kind of trip, but rather a cut-price, economy deal which takes them to some of the Old World's seedier locations. Of course, it's not long before they are caught up in all manner of misadventures. In 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' (1989), the Griswold family decide to spend the Christmas season at home. Needless to say it is not as quiet as they had planned. Unexpected relatives and a catalogue of disasters create enough pandemonium to keep them busy. Finally, in 'National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation', the Griswald family, led by Clark (Chase), are off to Las Vegas for the holiday of a lifetime. Unfortunately Clark is soon transformed into a compulsive gambler, daughter Audrey (Marisol Nichols) becomes an exotic dancer, and son Rusty (Ethan Embry) begins posing as a suave high roller. Will Clark's wife Ellen (Beverly d'Angelo) forgive him his flaws and reunite the family? It's hardly a safe bet.
