Cult comedy western starring James Coburn as Lewton Cole, a treasure hunter who will go to any lengths to get his hands on a map that gives the location to a secret stash of gold bullion. Cole knows that the treasure is buried somewhere near a desert waterhole, but so does his arch-rival, ex-Confederate cavalry soldier Henry Foggers (Claude Akins). As the two men head off in search of the loot, they have a run-in with Sheriff John Copperud (Carroll O'Connor) and his beautiful daughter Billee (Maggie Blye).
