Box set containing two action horror movies. In 'Lake Placid' (1999), when a man is eaten alive by a mysterious creature in the beautiful Lake Placid area of New England, New York scientist Kelly Scott (Bridget Fonda) arrives to investigate and, examining the evidence, soon confirms that the creature is a giant crocodile. Teaming up with local game warden Jack Wells (Bill Pullman) she uses state-of-the-art equipment to attempt to track down and capture the huge beast. But when they finally encounter their prey, it seems determined to give them a run for their money. 'Club Dread' (2004) is a horror spoof from the 'Broken Lizard' comedy troupe who created the 2001 comedy 'Super Troopers'. When rock star has-been Coconut Pete (Bill Paxton) invites Broken Lizard (Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske) to his booze-soaked holiday resort Pleasure Island, the high-spirited fun and sexual frolics soon take a deadly turn - leaving the island's utterly inept staff to battle a machete-wielding maniac as they fight to survive another day in paradise.
