Box-set containing five classic Steve McQueen movies. In 'Bullitt', (1968), McQueen stars as Frank Bullitt, a San Francisco detective who has become hardened to crime. He is assigned by an over ambitious politician Chalmers (Robert Vaughn) to protect a key Mafia member who is due to appear in hearings that would catapult Chalmers into the public eye. But the safe house is ambushed, his friend is murdered and the witness is critically injured. Bullitt decides to search for the origin of the leak and the killers himself, despite Chalmers trying to interfere and shut down the investigation in a bid to keep the hearings going. The film features one of cinema's most famous car chases, and expert driver McQueen performs all his own stunts. 'The Getaway' (1972) is a violent thriller featuring McQueen as ex-convict Doc McCoy, who is sprung from jail by his wife Carol (Ali McGraw). Together they plan the greatest robbery ever. After the meticulously planned heist goes awry, the two make their getaway towards Mexico in a series of chases and shootouts. 'The Cincinatti Kid' (1965) is set in New Orleans during the 1930s, where card sharks roamed the city setting up big games. A group sets up one such game but a battle for supremacy ensues when a young challenger takes on the older champion. 'Tom Horn' (1980) was McQueen's penultimate film. It follows the last days of legendary cowboy Tom Horn, hanged by the people who originally hired him to wage war against the Wyoming rustlers. Finally in 'Never So Few' (1959), McQueen (in his first major role) stars alongside Charles Bronson and Peter Lawford. Captain Tom Reynolds (Frank Sinatra) and his band of skilled O.S.S. operatives are in World War II Burma to train the Kachin natives in modern warfare. But jungle combat is more gruelling than Reynolds ever imagined, and after Chinese rebels cross the border to loot and murder American soldiers, Reynolds abandons all notions of 'military protocol' and seeks requital.
