A triple bill of thrillers starring actor Nicolas Cage. In 'Face/Off' (1997), directed by John Woo, FBI agent Sean Archer (Cage) seeks revenge on terrorist Castor Troy (John Travolta), who killed his son six years earlier. While Castor is comatose, Archer adopts his face and identity through the miracles of modern science. Archer, as Castor, then visits Castor's brother Pollux in prison to discover the location of a hidden bomb. However, when he awakes, Castor turns the tables by having the same operation performed and taking on Archer's identity, having the FBI agent secured in prison. A confusing game of cat and mouse thus ensues. 'Snake Eyes' (1998) is directed by Brian De Palma. While attending the Tyler-Ruiz heavyweight championship boxing match with his friend Kevin Dunne (Gary Sinise), corrupt cop Rick Santoro (Cage) witnesses the assassination of Charles Kirkland, the Secretary of Defense whom Dunne was supposed to be protecting. Santoro takes charge of the case, attempting to track down Julia Costello (Carla Gugino), an attractive young woman who talked to Kirkland just before he was shot. Julia, wounded in the shooting, has taken refuge in a casino - but when Santoro interrogates her he discovers some disturbing facts.Martin Scorsese's 'Bringing Out the Dead' (1999) is a darkly comic thriller from the team who created the classic 'Taxi Driver'. New York paramedic Frank Pierce (Cage) is close to cracking up: his graveyard shift is taking its toll, and he is tortured by visions of those he could not save from death. Over three successive nights with three different colleagues - Larry (John Goodman), Marcus (Ving Rhames) and Walls (Tom Sizemore) - Frank searches desperately for salvation, seemingly unable to halt his slide into madness and despair.
