William Wyler directs this classic wartime drama. Three soldiers return home from World War 2 to find life in America has moved on without them. Fred (Dana Andrews) has to re-acquaint himself with a wife he barely knows, Al (Frederic March) with his suddenly grown-up children, whilst Homer (Harold Russell) must get used to living without the use of his hands, blown off in battle.
