A double bill of comedic stupidity. In the Farrelly Brothers' 'Dumb and Dumber' Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) are a pair of hapless losers on the road, attempting to find the beautiful owner of a mislaid briefcase. Unbeknownst to them, the case contains ransom money for the woman's husband, and they find themselves pursued by his thuggish kidnappers, whilst stumbling across a series of oddballs along the way. Whilst in Troy Miller's prequel 'Dumb and Dumberer', Harry Dunne (Derek Richardson) and Lloyd Christmas (Eric Christian Olsen) are seen in their formative teen years where it all began - 1986 at Providence High School - when Dumb literally ran headfirst into Dumberer.
