Four classic episodes featuring Kenneth More as the detective-clergyman Father Brown. In 'The Mirror of the Magistrate' Father Brown tries to discover the truth and free an innocent man from a murder charge, while in 'The Dagger with Wings' Father Brown is called to investigate the suspicious deaths of the two sons of a man who has confessed to being involved in black magic. When Father Brown comes to investigate a murder at a theatre in 'The Actor and the Alibi' he discovers everyone has a solid alibi but he sets about solving the case nevertheless. Finally in 'The Quick One' Father Brown finds himself staying at a country hotel, with some travelling salesmen, when a local is murdered nearby; it is again left to Father Brown to solve the mystery.
