The first five episodes of the classic television series. 'The Hammer of God' finds Father Brown (Kenneth More) becoming involved in a village scandal when the local Colonel, famous for his romantic liaisons, is found murdered, while in 'The Oracle of the Dog' Father Brown solves Colonel Druce's murder with the help of his dog. 'The Curse of the Golden Cross' follows Father Brown and his meeting with an archaeologist whose life has been threatened by an ancient curse and in 'The Eye of Apollo' Father Brown must investigate the mysterious death of one of his friend's, Flambeau, new neighbours. Finally Father Brown must solve the murder of a young girl whose father is wrongly accused in 'The Three Tools of Death'.
