Two of the twentieth century's greatest film legends share centre stage in the delighful romatic comedy The Prince and the Showgirl written by Terence Rattigan. The Crown Prince of Carpathia (Laurence Olivier ) is in London for the coronation of George V in 1911 an is introduced to American showgirl Elsie Marina (Marilyn Monroe). While Elsie falls in love with the charming it stuffy Prince, it becomes clear that he is only interested in seducing the naive actress, who duly protests.
