Four volume box set of classic adventures with the Baker Street sleuth. In 'Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon' (1942), top detective Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone) and his trusty sidekick Dr Watson (Nigel Bruce) set out to retrieve a vital bombsight which has fallen into the hands of the Nazis. They find themselves up against none other than Holmes' arch-enemy, the evil Moriarty (Lionel Atwill). In 'Sherlock Holmes: The Woman in Green' (1945), Holmes and Watson are called in to help solve a series of mysterious murders in which the victims are left without their right forefingers. The infallible twosome discover a link between a female hypnotist and a blackmail venture, which leads them inevitably to Holmes' arch-enemy, Moriarty (Henry Daniell). In 'Sherlock Holmes: Terror by Night' (1946), Holmes is asked to guard a valuable jewel whilst travelling on a high-speed train. But many murders occur on the journey from London to Edinburgh...and only Holmes possesses the intellect to solve them. Finally in 'Sherlock Holmes: Dressed to Kill' (1946), Holmes and Watson find themselves hot on the trail of some music boxes made in prison which hold the clues to the whereabouts of some stolen bank plates.
