'Many Happy Returns' sees the jape factor cranked up to the maximum when the girls set out on the road to Thebes ready for Gabrielle's birthday. 'Soul Possession' finds the story in the hands of a group of modern day myth researchers who have uncovered a lost scroll telling of Xena's marriage to Ares. Finally, in the two-part story 'A Friend in Need', Xena and Gabrielle protect a Japanese town from some unwanted spectral attentions.
