Guy Baran (Chaz Palminteri) is a man with two women in his life - mistress Nicole (Sharon Stone) and wife Mia (Isabelle Adjani). Both are subjected to his abuse, so together they plan to rid themselves of him. Of course, in time-honoured fashion this plot goes awry, someone begins to play mind games with the duo, and soon a tough detective (Kathy Bates) is on their trail.
