Currently on the trail of a gang of dangerous arms smugglers, tough cop Vishal (Ajay Devgan) is a man dedicated to his job, so dedicated in fact that he neglects his girlfriend Sapna (Urmila Matondkar). When he is shot in the line of duty and left in a coma, Vishal's superiors replace him with a look-a-like, petty crook Arun (Devgan again). The crook soon begins enjoying masquerading as the cop, especially the time he spends with Sapna, and Sapna is enjoying herself too, a little surprised about the sudden change in her boyfriend, but happy about it nonetheless. Things seem to be going fine, but then Vishal awakes from his coma....
